Oyo State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde has appointed Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication. The appointment was announced on Thursday and takes effect immediately.

Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, disclosed the development in Ibadan. He said further announcements about the campaign team would follow in due course.

The governor described Ehilebo, a communication strategist and lawyer, as a valuable addition to the team. He said the appointee’s skills would help drive the APM’s message of resetting Nigeria and securing victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Makinde called on Nigerians to stand firm and support the APM. He described the coming election as a historic chance to change the direction of the country and deliver a better future for the people.

He had formally joined the presidential race in May 2026 under an alliance involving the Peoples Democratic Party and the APM. In his declaration speech at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Makinde announced his candidacy before a large crowd of supporters.
