Adebutu, Policymakers, Young Nigerians to Attend 2026 Ambassadors Youth Summit
Industrialist and philanthropist, Chief Kesington Adebutu, popularly known as “Baba Ijebu,” is expected to join government officials, policymakers, business leaders and young Nigerians at the 2026 Ambassadors National Youth Summit in Lagos.
The high-level youth gathering, organised by the Joshua Oyeniyi International (JOI) Foundation, is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The summit will focus on the role of young leaders in shaping Nigeria’s economic future, with discussions centred on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and youth participation in national development.
The event is themed “Role of Emerging Leaders in Securing Nigeria’s Economic Prosperity.”
The organisers said the summit was designed to create a platform for interaction between young Nigerians and established leaders involved in shaping the country’s socio-economic direction.
They added that Adebutu’s expected participation would further strengthen the gathering, which seeks to bring together stakeholders from the public and private sectors with emerging youth leaders.
The programme is expected to feature plenary sessions, policy discussions, networking opportunities and engagements between young delegates and experienced leaders.
Discussions will also cover key areas including the economy, security, leadership and innovation, alongside activities focused on creating social and community impact.
The summit is being convened by the Founder and President of the Joshua Oyeniyi International Foundation, Dr Joshua Oyeniyi.
The foundation described the Ambassadors Summit as its flagship platform for inspiring, equipping and connecting emerging leaders across Africa.
It said the 2026 edition would provide young Nigerians with an opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and other influential figures, ask questions, build networks and contribute to discussions about the country’s future.
The organisers said the significance of the gathering would extend beyond the personalities expected to attend, with emphasis placed on creating meaningful connections between current decision-makers and the next generation of leaders.
