The Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to promote unity, peace and peaceful coexistence as Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.

Mrs Tinubu made the call in a message issued on Monday to mark the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), urging Muslim faithful to emulate his virtues of compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.

She said the celebration should serve as an opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen the bonds of unity and renew their commitment to peace.

“As we commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026, I extend my warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria,” the First Lady said.

She urged Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life and enduring virtues of the Prophet and apply them in their homes, communities and the wider society.

“I encourage all Muslim faithful to emulate these noble virtues and continue to promote peace in our homes, communities and nation,” she said.

Mrs Tinubu prayed that the celebration would strengthen unity among Nigerians and bring renewed hope, peace and blessings to the country.

“May this celebration strengthen the bonds of unity among us and bring renewed hope, peace, and blessings to all Nigerians,” she added.
