Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele has marked her birthday with a message of gratitude to God and a renewed commitment to impacting lives. She shared the message on her social media pages on Monday.

Akindele thanked God for His faithfulness through every season of her life, including successes, mistakes and challenges. She described God as her strength and shield, saying she had received the grace to rise, learn and become better even when she fell short.

Her birthday prayer, she said, was simple: for good health, long life, peace and the grace to keep walking in purpose. She expressed a desire for her life and work to mean something beyond herself.

The actress prayed that she would continue to touch more lives, open more doors, nurture more talents, raise more stars and give others the opportunity to become everything they are called to be. She also pledged never to stop giving back or growing.
