The Nigeria Immigration Service, Osun State Command, has arrested 55 undocumented migrants from Cameroon and the Republic of Congo.

The suspects were paraded in Osogbo on Friday after being picked up at different locations across the state.

Osun Comptroller of Immigration, Ibrahim Akinyemi said the arrests followed intelligence reports. He described the group as irregular migrants who entered Nigeria through unauthorised routes and had no valid travel documents, including passports.

Akinyemi said they were brought in for repatriation. Some were found living in the Owode-Ede area. Officials said they claimed they came to Osun to engage in an online business known as QNET but gave few further details. They also said they entered the country through Yola in Adamawa State.

One of the migrants, Ismail Mohammed from Cameroon, said he arrived in February 2026 after being invited by a woman living in Chad to do online business. The command said it would continue efforts to locate others still in the state and those who facilitated their entry. Officials added that the migrants would be taken back to where they came from.
