Miskay Boutique Redeems ₦824.2 Million Commercial Paper, Second Repayment in 2026

Miskay Boutique International Limited has fully redeemed its ₦824.2 million Series 1 Tranche B Commercial Paper at maturity, marking the fashion retailer’s second successful debt repayment this year.

The company cleared the short-term instrument on 18 August 2026, following the redemption of its Series 1 Tranche A issuance in May.

Both instruments were issued under Miskay’s ₦5.00 billion Commercial Paper Programme.

The repayment comes after a November 2025 capital raise that allowed Miskay to rebuild inventory, strengthen warehousing and distribution capabilities, and reposition the business for growth.

Store footfall has since increased by over 200%, and weekly digital impressions now exceed 5 million.

Miskay resumed physical expansion with the launch of its Benin store – the company’s first new location in more than four years. It has also run commercial campaigns including a collaboration with chef Hilda Baci and the Countryside Polo Experience with Isimi Lagos.

The company plans to open its first regional flagship store in Ghana in the third quarter of 2026 and is building inventory ahead of the peak Q4 trading period.

“Access to capital comes with responsibility. For Miskay, the redemption of this Commercial Paper is more than the completion of a financial obligation; it is evidence that ambition, accountability and disciplined execution can move together,” said Oluwaseun Akerele, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

“We have been deliberate about strengthening the foundations of the business and ensuring that capital entrusted to us is deployed responsibly. Successfully redeeming Tranche B, following the repayment of Tranche A earlier this year, reinforces our commitment to investors and to building an institution designed for sustainable scale,” Akerele added.
