Heirs Life Assurance has appointed Pastor Jerry Eze as an Independent Non-Executive Director on its Board, effective August 10, 2026.

The company, which is the specialist life insurance arm of Heirs Insurance Group, said the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen public confidence in insurance and expand financial inclusion across Nigeria.

Eze’s appointment comes as the company seeks to promote greater insurance awareness, improve consumer education and encourage long-term financial planning among Nigerians.

Heirs Life noted that insurance penetration in Nigeria remains below one per cent, underscoring the need for broader access to financial protection and increased public trust in insurance products.

The company said Eze’s experience in community engagement and value-driven leadership would contribute to its efforts to make insurance more accessible and relevant to Nigerians.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of Heirs Life Assurance, Tony Elumelu, described Eze as an individual whose integrity, influence and understanding of communities would add value to the company’s mission.

Elumelu said Eze’s perspective would help the company strengthen consumer confidence, advance financial inclusion and support efforts to safeguard the financial future of millions of Nigerians.

He welcomed Eze to the Board, noting that his appointment would further contribute to the broader objectives of Heirs Insurance Group.
