Publication of Military Wanted List Sparks Panic, Internal Tensions Within ISWAP Leadership

The recent release of an updated list of wanted terrorist commanders by defence headquarters has triggered widespread anxiety and internal paranoia within the leadership ranks of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

According to counter-insurgency sources cited in security reports, the public disclosure of high-ranking commanders’ identities and financial bounties has fueled deep suspicion among senior commanders, leading to fears of betrayal and internal informants.

In response to the heightened threat, top commanders within the Lake Chad region have reportedly restricted their movements, altered communication protocols, and instituted aggressive internal purges to identify potential informants leaking intelligence to security agencies.

Military authorities have maintained that intelligence-led operations and precision strikes targeting insurgent hideouts will continue to intensify until key leaders on the wanted list are neutralized or captured.
