UK Appoints Vicky Seymour Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria

The United Kingdom Government has appointed Ms. Vicky Seymour as its new Deputy High Commissioner in Abuja, a move aimed at further strengthening diplomatic engagement and cooperation between the UK and Nigeria.

Seymour will be based at the British High Commission in Abuja, where she will support the implementation of the UK’s diplomatic, economic and development agenda while working with Nigerian government institutions and other key stakeholders.

Her appointment is part of the UK’s routine diplomatic postings and is expected to deepen collaboration between both countries in areas such as trade, investment, security, governance and education.

The British Government said the posting underscores its commitment to sustaining its longstanding partnership with Nigeria and advancing shared priorities through closer bilateral engagement.

Additional information on Seymour’s assumption of office and transition into her new role is expected to be provided by the British High Commission in Abuja.
