Singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, drew attention over the weekend after stepping out in traditional Delta attire as one of the groomsmen at the wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon, underscoring the close bond the two are known to share within the entertainment industry.

The singer joined other groomsmen in coordinated cream and white outfits complete with beads and hats for the celebration, which brought together some of Nigeria’s biggest entertainment names in Warri, Delta State.

Soberekon, the chief executive of White Lion Global and a well known talent manager in the Nigerian music industry, tied the knot with his partner, Princess Ebiere of the Gbaramatu Kingdom, in a series of ceremonies tagged Sobeau2026.

The celebrations began with the payment of the bride price on Wednesday, July 22 in Benikrukru Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, followed by a colourful traditional wedding and culminating in a lavish white wedding and reception in Warri on Saturday, July 25.

The star studded guest list reflected Soberekon’s standing in the industry, with celebrities including Iyabo Ojo and her daughter Priscilla, Ini Edo, Mercy Eke, KCee, E Money, Peggy Ovire, Harrysong, Uzee Usman, Oritsefemi and Iyanya among those who turned out to celebrate the couple.

The newlyweds arrived at their reception in grand style, with Soberekon pulling up in a Rolls Royce Spectre reportedly worth billions of naira as guests cheered the couple’s entrance.

Adding to the emotional atmosphere of the celebration, Nigerian singers Timi Dakolo and 2Baba serenaded the couple with romantic performances as they exchanged their vows, capping off a wedding that quickly became one of the most talked about celebrity unions of the year across Nigerian social media.
