Max Air Refunds N182 Million to 956 Passengers in Q2 2026, Says NCAA
Max Air refunded a total of N182 million to 956 passengers in the second quarter of 2026.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority disclosed this while urging the airline to handle refund claims more quickly in line with existing regulations.
The NCAA noted the refunds in a statement and appreciated the airline’s efforts. However, it called for faster resolution of passenger complaints to meet the standards set by Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023.
This development comes after previous concerns about flight delays involving Max Air. The regulator had warned airlines against violating consumer protection rules and promised to impose sanctions where necessary.
The refunds cover various passenger issues, including cancelled or delayed flights. NCAA reiterated its commitment to protecting the rights of air travellers and ensuring operators meet their obligations.
The announcement highlights ongoing efforts to improve service standards in Nigeria’s aviation sector. Passengers are encouraged to report issues promptly while airlines work towards better compliance and customer satisfaction.
