Kaduna State emergency services have successfully managed a gas tanker leak in the southern part of the city.

Officials acted fast after receiving reports of the incident on Sunday. The joint team from the state emergency agency and fire service worked together to secure the area and prevent any major disaster.

No injuries or deaths were reported. The driver of the tanker escaped without harm. Cooling operations were carried out to stabilise the vehicle and reduce the risk of fire or explosion.

Residents and drivers have been asked to stay away from the Nnamdi Azikiwe By-Pass around Unguwan Mu’azu for now. Traffic has been redirected to safer routes while the cleanup and safety checks continue.

The Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency, Usman Mazadu, commended the quick response and thanked the public for cooperating with authorities. He assured everyone that officials are monitoring the situation closely.
