Abuse Survivor Rescued by Mrs. Soludo Fully Rehabilitated, Set for University
Master Chimkamnayo Olisaemeka, a teenager rescued from severe domestic assault and neglect in 2022, is set to begin his university education following a successful multi-year rehabilitation program sponsored by the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo.
The first lady shared the update while reflecting on the teenager’s remarkable recovery journey. Olisaemeka was initially rescued by state authorities from the hands of his uncle and his uncle’s wife, who had subjected him to regular physical abuse and confinement.
Following his rescue, the state government enrolled him in a comprehensive therapeutic and academic rehabilitation framework to help him overcome the physical and emotional trauma of his past.
Dr. Soludo expressed immense joy at his academic progress, noting that his transition to higher education serves as a powerful testament to the impact of timely state intervention and emotional support for victims of domestic violence.
She reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to using her office to protect vulnerable children, enforce child rights laws, and aggressively prosecute guardians who subject minors to abuse or domestic servitude within the state.
