Bala Mohammed Visits Makinde, Holds Strategic Talks in Ibadan

The Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF), Bala Mohammed, has paid a strategic consultative visit to his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the Government House in Agodi, Ibadan.

The high-profile meeting between the two prominent PDP leaders centers heavily on strengthening intra-party cohesion, addressing internal administrative dynamics, and fostering strategic regional cooperation across their respective states.

During the reception, Governor Makinde expressed his appreciation for the visit, highlighting the long-standing political relationship and mutual respect shared between Oyo and Bauchi states. He emphasized that continuous peer-review mechanisms and collaborative engagements among state executives remain essential for driving sustainable subnational development, implementing governance best practices, and formulating effective socio-economic policies that directly benefit the citizens.

On his part, Governor Mohammed lauded Makinde’s visible leadership strides and infrastructure achievements in Oyo State, describing him as a pivotal pillar within the PDP structure. The Bauchi Governor noted that the consultative session offered a valuable platform to deliberate on critical national issues, security management, economic resilience amid nationwide hardships, and the institutional realignment of the main opposition party ahead of upcoming electoral cycles.

The meeting concluded with both governors reaffirming their joint commitment to upholding democratic ideals, working collectively to resolve internal party differences through constructive dialogue, and deepening strategic state-level partnerships to enhance regional growth, security stabilization, and public welfare delivery.
