Peter Obi Celebrates Abdulsalami at 84, Hails His Democratic Legacy
Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has paid tribute to former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, in celebration of his 84th birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development and national unity.
Obi joined political leaders, statesmen and other dignitaries at the public presentation of books documenting Abdulsalami’s life, leadership journey and contributions to Nigeria and the African continent.
In a goodwill message delivered during the event, Obi described the former military ruler as a patriotic leader whose actions at a critical moment in the nation’s history helped guide Nigeria through a peaceful transition from military rule to democratic governance.
