Akwa Ibom Council Boss Praises Governor Eno’s Education Reforms
The Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Dr Uwemedimo Udo, has commended Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for his strong efforts to improve education in the state.
Udo gave the praise during the commissioning of a newly rebuilt primary school. He described the project as a major step that will benefit many children for years to come.
The school, known as QIC Government Model Primary School in Oku, was first built in 1914. It has now been fully reconstructed for the first time in over 100 years. The new facility includes modern classrooms, ICT equipment, a sickbay, staff quarters, and other important amenities to support better teaching and learning.
Dr Udo, who is also an old student of the school, said Governor Eno has shown that quality education is a top priority. He promised that the local government will take good care of the school by providing security and regular maintenance. This will allow pupils to focus only on their studies without doing manual work like clearing grass.
The development highlights the state government’s commitment to building a strong foundation for children through better schools and facilities. Many residents and leaders at the event praised the governor for investing in education as part of his ARISE Agenda. They also appealed for a new secondary school in the community to continue the good work.
This positive step serves as a reminder of how important education is for the future of any state. As more modern schools are built, many hope it will lead to better learning outcomes and brighter opportunities for young people in Akwa Ibom. The governor’s team has promised to keep delivering people-focused projects across the state.
