BBO Goes Public With Marriage to Fellow Gospel Singer, Tolamise Taiwo

Popular Nigerian gospel singer and worship leader, Bakare Boluwatife Oluwatobi, widely known as BBO, has finally gone public with his marriage to fellow gospel minister Tolamise Taiwo Pricillia, bringing to a close months of speculation that had kept his fans and admirers guessing.

The singer, known for stirring worship anthems such as My God and Iranlowo, took to Instagram to publicly introduce his new wife for the first time in a heartfelt post that quickly spread across social media. In the post, he described Tolamise as a special gift from God, writing, “Chosen, Blessed and Forever My very special gift from God,” accompanied by her Instagram handle. The union of two gospel ministers drew warm congratulations from the Nigerian Christian community, with many describing it as a beautifully ordained pairing.

The announcement, however, had been a long time coming. Back in December 2025, BBO quietly confirmed at the Young Ministers Retreat hosted by Pastor Daniel Olawande that he was in a relationship, after Pastor Daniel prophesied that he would attend the following year’s edition with his wife. BBO’s nod of affirmation sent tongues wagging, and fans had been on the lookout ever since. By March 2026, eagle-eyed followers spotted a wedding ring on his finger in photos he shared from a casual outing, and speculation went into overdrive. Pastor Bolaji Idowu further fuelled the conversation when he revealed he had already met BBO’s wife and described the couple as amazing.

According to available information, the wedding took place in a private ceremony in January 2026, in keeping with BBO’s characteristic preference for keeping his personal life away from the public glare. The couple’s low-key approach to the nuptials mirrored their deeply spiritual disposition a union that clearly prioritised covenant over celebration.

Tolamise Taiwo Pricillia is herself a respected figure in Nigerian gospel music circles. The two share not only a faith but a calling, making their union one of the more talked-about ministry pairings in recent memory. The news, while delightful for most, drew playful laments from BBO’s legion of devoted female fans affectionately dubbed “spirit-filled sisters” online who had long harboured hopes for the beloved minister. Social media was awash with a mixture of congratulatory messages, prayers for the couple, and the kind of good-natured heartbreak that only a gospel celebrity wedding can inspire.

BBO, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University who hails from Ijebu in Ogun State, rose to national prominence after a viral Instagram Live session hosted by Prophet Woli Arole, where his ministration of You Are the Most High captured hearts across the country. He has since cemented his place as one of the most beloved voices in contemporary Nigerian gospel music.
