Yari Says Tinubu’s Achievements, Campaign Efforts Will Drive 2027 Re-election Bid

Former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance record and the party’s campaign strategy will help secure his re-election in January 2027.

Yari said the campaign council would rely on the administration’s achievements, public engagement and effective mobilisation to convince Nigerians to support Tinubu for a second term.

He made the remarks while speaking with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined the President and other prominent Nigerians to perform the lesser Hajj (Umrah).

According to a statement from his media office, the former governor said the campaign council was committed to engaging citizens, presenting the administration’s achievements and persuading voters to support the President in the forthcoming election.

Yari also highlighted Tinubu’s reliance on divine guidance, noting that the President had consistently emphasised the importance of praying for Nigeria and its people.

He said the President believed that leadership ultimately rested in the hands of Allah, who determines who occupies positions of authority.

Yari stated that the campaign council would combine prayers with practical political activities, including reaching out to Nigerians, explaining government policies and highlighting the administration’s accomplishments.

He expressed confidence that these efforts, alongside divine intervention, would persuade voters to renew Tinubu’s mandate, just as he emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election.

The APC campaign chief reaffirmed the commitment of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council to securing widespread public support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
