Police Nab Two Members of 10-Man Armed Robbery Gang in Edo
Police operatives in Edo State have arrested two members of a suspected 10-man armed robbery gang in Benin City. The suspects were nabbed inside a hotel shortly after they allegedly carried out robberies in the Ugbor area. This quick action by the police has brought some relief to residents who were affected by the crimes.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Mustapha Haruna and Abdulahi Abdulraman. According to reports, members of the gang broke into homes and stole valuable items such as iPhones, Samsung phones, laptops, a JBL speaker, power banks, and cash. Residents helped security agents track the suspects to their hideout in the hotel.
The Edo State Police Command confirmed the arrests through its spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem. She stated that operatives from the Ugbor Police Station acted swiftly after reports of the robberies reached them. Efforts are now ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the gang who are still at large.
