Gunmen Kill Son of Osun Accord Party Women Leader Princess Adekemi
Gunmen have shot dead the son of a women leader in the Accord Party in Osun State. The victim, Kolade Eluyera, was killed in Ikire area of the state.
His death has sparked strong reactions from political groups and raised fears of growing violence ahead of elections.
The lifeless body of Kolade was found with gunshot wounds. Police officers have confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing. More security personnel have been sent to the area to restore calm and gather useful information about the attackers.
Supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke have condemned the killing and called for a thorough probe. They alleged that the attack was carried out by suspected thugs linked to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
They also claimed that earlier warnings about threats to Accord Party members in Irewole Local Government were not properly addressed.
The APC has strongly denied any involvement in the incident. Party leaders described the allegations as false and urged the public not to politicise the death of the young man. They insisted that security agencies should be allowed to carry out their investigation without interference.
This tragic killing has left many residents worried about the level of political tension in Osun State. As the police continue their work, people hope that those responsible will be quickly identified and brought to justice.
The incident serves as a reminder of the need for peaceful political activities and better security in the region.
