A woman has tragically slumped and died at her child’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) centre in Ondo State.

The sad incident happened while her child was inside the hall busy writing the important test. The young student had no idea what had occurred to the mother at that moment.

The mother had accompanied her child to the examination venue to offer support on what should have been a hopeful day. Many parents were present to encourage their wards as they sat for the UTME, a key step towards gaining admission into higher institutions. Sadly, the day turned into one of shock and sorrow for the family.

Witnesses described how the woman suddenly collapsed at the centre. Despite efforts to help her, she could not be revived. The news quickly spread among other parents and candidates at the venue, casting a shadow over the entire examination process that day.
