Uzodimma Strengthens Renewed Hope Ambassadors with 16 New Director Appointments

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has appointed 16 directors to lead specialized departments within the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. As the organization’s National Coordinator, Uzodimma aims to bolster the group’s efficiency and national reach.

Established by President Bola Tinubu in late 2025, the organization serves as a grassroots bridge between the federal government and the public. Its core mission is to effectively communicate the administration’s policies and achievements to Nigerians at all levels.

Governor Uzodimma emphasized that the recent restructuring is essential for better coordination and improved delivery of the organization’s objectives.

He noted that the new leadership structure is specifically designed to drive the mandate of promoting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The appointments are seen as a way to strengthen the organization’s capacity to engage with the public effectively as the 2027 general elections approach.

The leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors features a high-profile team, including Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani as the Deputy Director General. Other key figures include Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya, who serves as the Secretary, and James Abiodun Faleke as the Deputy Secretary.

This diverse leadership team reflects a nationwide framework that spans across all geopolitical zones and local government areas.

In a statement released by Tunde Rahman, the Director of Media and Publicity, it was clarified that the 16 newly appointed directors will oversee critical specialized departments. These directorates are vital to the organization’s day-to-day operations and its long-term strategic goals. The statement further highlighted that these efforts are geared toward deepening grassroots engagement and improving institutional efficiency.

Among the notable appointees is Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, who has been tasked with leading the Youth Directorate. His role will likely focus on mobilizing and communicating the administration’s impact to the younger demographic. Additionally, Chief Olisa Metuh was appointed to lead the Directorate of Organisation and Mobilisation, a position central to the group’s structural growth and public outreach.

The administration also prioritized modern communication by appointing Sunday Dare to head the Digital and New Media Directorate. This department is expected to play a crucial role in managing the organization’s online presence and countering misinformation. With the digital landscape becoming increasingly influential in Nigerian politics, this appointment underscores the importance of a robust social media strategy.

The organization operates through a massive nationwide network that includes six zonal coordinators, 37 state coordinators (including the FCT), and 774 local government coordinators. This extensive hierarchy ensures that the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda permeates every level of society. Through these new appointments, Governor Uzodimma aims to solidify the platform as a primary vehicle for political and social engagement in Nigeria.
