Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray Move Hinges on Napoli Deal
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has agreed to personal terms with Galatasaray, with a contract expected to run until June 2028.
However, the transfer is stuck in limbo as Galatasaray’s bid of €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons falls short of Napoli’s expected fee. According to reports, Napoli is holding out for a higher fee, with Al Hilal also in the running, willing to trigger Osimhen’s €75 million release clause.
Osimhen reportedly prefers a return to Galatasaray, where he developed strong ties during his loan spell.
The Turkish club now faces the challenge of meeting Napoli’s demands to finalize the deal. If Galatasaray can bridge the financial gap, Osimhen might don the Turkish jersey for another season.
This transfer saga has garnered significant attention, with multiple clubs vying for Osimhen’s signature. Earlier, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea expressed interest, but Napoli’s stiff valuation deterred them. Osimhen’s impressive performance at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances, might just be the leverage Galatasaray needs to convince Napoli to accept their offer.
