No Alliance With APGA, Says Anambra APC for 2027
The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied working with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the 2027 elections. Party officials described the claims as false rumors spread by those who want to confuse voters.
The APC insists it is not in any partnership with its main rival in the state.
Reports had suggested that the two parties might join forces for the 2027 general elections. This led to speculation among political observers and ordinary citizens. Many wondered if the APC and APGA were planning to field joint candidates or share campaign strategies.
But the Anambra APC leadership made it clear that such reports are untrue. A party spokesperson stated that the APC remains independent and focused on its own goals. He added that the party has no agreement, secret or open, with APGA or any other political group.
Anambra State has long been a stronghold of APGA, which has controlled the state government for years. The APC is working hard to break that dominance and present a serious challenge in 2027. Party leaders believe that winning alone, without any alliance, is their target.
The APC therefore urged its members and the public to ignore the fake news. The party called on supporters to remain united and focus on the work ahead. It promised to release its own clear plans and timetable for the 2027 elections in Anambra very soon.
