Police Arrest Two Over Fatal Stabbing of 25-Year-Old at Adamawa Birthday Party

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the tragic killing of a 25-year-old man, Friday Isah.Â
The incident occurred in the Mubi North Local Government Area of the state during what was supposed to be a celebratory event.
The victim was attending a birthday party held at Digil Ward when the situation turned violent. According to reports, a confrontation ensued, leading the suspects to allegedly attack Isah with a knife, inflicting fatal injuries before they fled the scene.
The Command’s spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday. He noted that the police received a distress report and immediately deployed operatives from the Mubi North Divisional Headquarters to the location.
Upon arrival, the police officers rushed the victim to a nearby medical facility in a desperate attempt to save his life. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the medical personnel, Isah was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
The suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Samson Elisha from Giye Digil and 21-year-old Ayuba Stephen from Dagala Digil. Both individuals are residents of the Mubi North Local Government Area and are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
In response to the severity of the crime, the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case. He emphasized the need for a diligent and thorough investigation to ensure the suspects face prosecution.
The police command concluded by reaffirming its commitment to delivering justice for the victim and his family. They also urged residents of Adamawa State to remain law-abiding and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities to prevent future tragedies.
