JAMB Directs 2024 UTME Candidates to Print Examination Notification Slips

By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all candidates registered for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips.

This directive was issued on Thursday, April 4, 2024, through a statement by the board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin.

The notification slip is a vital document as it contains the specific date, time, and venue assigned to each candidate for their examination. Candidates are strongly advised to print these slips immediately to avoid last-minute complications and to ensure they are fully aware of their scheduled session before the exams begin.

To access the document, candidates should visit the JAMB website at www.jamb.gov.ng, click on “2024 UTME Slip Printing,” and input their registration number. The board emphasized that the printing can be done anywhere with internet access, provided a printer is available to produce a physical copy for the exam hall.

The 2024 UTME is scheduled to commence on Friday, April 19, and will run through to Monday, April 29, 2024. Because the examination is conducted over several days with multiple sessions, candidates must stick strictly to the specific schedule printed on their individual slips to avoid being disqualified.

JAMB also urged candidates to locate their examination centers ahead of time to prevent being late on the day of the test. The board warned that candidates who arrive late or miss their scheduled sessions will not be given an opportunity for a make-up exam, regardless of the reason.

The board reiterated its commitment to examination integrity, warning against any form of malpractice or prohibited items like electronic gadgets. Candidates are expected to conduct themselves professionally and follow all instructions provided by the center officials to ensure a seamless and successful examination process.
