Dino Re-enacts Comedy, Politics Online

An old photo of a simple bridge project in Kogi State has sparked fresh laughter and debates on social media. The image shows what Senator Dino Melaye once proudly called the completed Geba Bridge. Back in 2018, he announced the project as a big achievement for his Kogi West constituency, even giving glory to God for its success.

The bridge, also known as the Kara-Geba Bridge, looks like a basic concrete culvert over a small stream. It was meant to help local people move around more easily and support development in the area. At the time, Melaye shared photos and a signboard that listed the project details from his time as a senator.

The discussion heated up again when a social media user shared the old post side by side with current events. Many people pointed out the contrast, joking that the small structure is now being remembered at a time when Dino Melaye is active in national politics. Some users laughed at the size of the bridge compared to the big celebration it received years ago.

Nigerian comedian Dee-One jumped into the conversation with his signature humour. In an Instagram post, he reacted with the funny line “Abeg leave me! Everybody dey hustle for Atiku money.” His video captured the mood perfectly, suggesting that many people are suddenly very interested because of political activities and possible opportunities linked to Atiku.

The resurfaced bridge story has brought out mixed reactions online. While some defend the project as useful for the rural community, others use it to question past promises and achievements. It has reminded people how infrastructure projects often become topics of discussion long after they are done.

This situation shows the power of social media in Nigeria. Old statements and photos can easily come back to life during political seasons. Whether through serious debate or comedy, citizens continue to revisit leadership records and share their views openly.

As the conversation grows, it highlights how the public now plays a strong role in shaping political talk across the country.
