11 Killed, 50 Houses Burnt in Fresh Nasarawa Community Clashes

Eleven people have lost their lives and about 50 houses have been burnt in fresh clashes between communities in Nasarawa State.

The violence broke out in one of the local government areas, leaving many residents in shock and fear. Security forces have moved into the affected communities to restore calm.

Many families have been forced to flee their homes. The burnt houses and destroyed property have left people with nothing. Women and children are among those badly affected, with some now taking shelter in safer nearby areas or with relatives.

The clashes are believed to have started from a long-running dispute between two neighbouring communities. Such fights have happened before in the state, often over land, resources, or old rivalries. Each time, lives are lost and property is destroyed, making it harder for people to live in peace.

Local leaders and security agencies are working to stop the violence from spreading. They have appealed to both sides to lay down their weapons and settle their differences through dialogue. Extra police and other security personnel have been deployed to the area to prevent further attacks.

This incident has once again drawn attention to the need for lasting peace in Nasarawa State. Many residents are tired of the repeated violence that disrupts their daily lives and destroys years of hard work. They want the government to step in more strongly and address the root causes of these conflicts.

This latest incident shows how quickly community disputes can turn deadly. As security forces try to bring the situation under control, many hope that genuine talks and proper intervention will prevent more loss of lives and property in the days ahead. The people of Nasarawa deserve to live without fear.
