Deregister ADC for Wasting Nigerians’ Time, APC Charges INEC
The All Progressives Congress has made a strong call to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to take a bigger step and completely deregister the African Democratic Congress.
The APC says the ADC has spent too much time on internal fights and court cases, leaving ordinary Nigerians frustrated and wasting valuable time.
According to the APC, the ADC’s problems have gone on for far too long. The party has been battling over leadership and other issues, which has slowed down the work of the electoral body. Instead of focusing on real politics, the ADC keeps dragging everyone into unnecessary disputes that do not help the country move forward.
The ruling party believes INEC should not stop at just refusing to recognise the current ADC leaders. It should go all the way and remove the party from the list of registered political groups in Nigeria. This, they say, would send a clear message that no party is allowed to play games with the nation’s electoral system.
This fresh demand comes after recent tensions between INEC and the ADC. The electoral commission had already warned the party against holding certain meetings because of a court order. Yet the APC feels the ADC is still causing delays that affect the entire democratic process.
Many Nigerians are tired of watching political parties spend years in court instead of serving the people. The APC argues that deregistering the ADC would help clean up the system and make sure only serious parties take part in future elections.
For now, the ball is in INEC’s court. The commission must decide whether to act on the APC’s call or allow the ADC to continue despite the ongoing troubles. Whatever the outcome, the message is loud and clear: political parties must stop wasting time and start working for the good of the country.
