Addressing the 33 Artillery Brigade, the COAS stressed that operational readiness is the Nigerian Army’s top priority. He directed soldiers to maintain constant pressure on criminal elements within their areas of responsibility to restore lasting peace and national stability.
To support these missions, Lieutenant General Shaibu pledged to provide essential logistics and operational enablers. He highlighted that professionalism and tactical efficiency are vital to denying criminals freedom of movement and rebuilding public confidence in the military’s capabilities.
The COAS also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the welfare of troops and their families. He noted that a motivated, well-supported force is essential for combat success and promised continued measures to boost morale and overall efficiency.
During a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Dr. Suleiman Rilwanu, the COAS expressed gratitude for the community’s support. He called for sustained collaboration between the military and host communities to effectively eliminate banditry and local criminality.
Ultimately, the Army’s strategy focuses on a dual approach of aggressive field operations and enhanced personnel support. By prioritizing both tactical excellence and soldier well-being, the COAS aims to decisively end insecurity across the affected regions of Nigeria.
