Awoniyi on Score Sheet as Forest Deepen Spurs’ Woes, Man United Held, Brighton Stun Liverpool.

A dramatic weekend in the Premier League saw late drama, surprise results, and major implications in the race for Europe and survival.

At the Vitality Stadium, AFC Bournemouth fought back twice to earn a 2-2 draw against Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Ryan Christie equalised. United regained the lead through a James Hill own goal, but substitute Junior Kroupi rescued a point from the spot after Harry Maguire was sent off.

Brighton & Hove Albion boosted their European push with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool, thanks to a brace from Danny Welbeck. Milos Kerkez had briefly levelled for Liverpool, but Brighton held firm to hand the Reds another damaging defeat.

At Craven Cottage, Fulham FC came from behind to beat Burnley FC 3-1. Josh King inspired the comeback with a goal and an assist, while Raul Jimenez sealed the win late on after Burnley were reduced to 10 men.

Everton FC strengthened their European ambitions with a commanding 3-0 victory over Chelsea FC. Beto starred with two goals and an assist, as Chelsea’s struggles continued.

At Elland Road, Leeds United and Brentford FC played out a goalless draw, with both sides failing to capitalise on limited chances.

In the Tyne-Wear derby at St James’ Park, Sunderland AFC staged a late comeback to beat Newcastle United 2-1. Brian Brobbey scored the winner in the 90th minute after Chemsdine Talbi had earlier cancelled out Anthony Gordon’s opener.

Aston Villa returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over West Ham United at Villa Park. Goals from John McGinn and Ollie Watkins boosted Villa’s hopes of securing a Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest eased their relegation fears with a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Goals from Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi condemned Spurs to a damaging defeat, leaving them hovering just above the drop zone.

The results further tighten the race for European qualification while intensifying the battle for survival as the season heads into its final stretch.
