Nothing Good Will Come Out of Tinubu’s Government, Lukman, Ex- APC Vice Chairman Insists
Former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Salihu Lukman has assessed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, declaring that “nothing good” will emerge from the current government.
Speaking in an interview on Sunday, the former APC leader expressed deep disappointment with the direction of the Tinubu administration, citing worsening economic conditions, policy inconsistencies, and what he described as a growing disconnect between the government and the Nigerian people.
“After observing the events of the past months, I am convinced that nothing good will come out of this government,” he said. “The administration has failed to demonstrate the leadership, vision, and empathy that Nigerians desperately need at this critical time.”
The former vice chairman, who played a key role during the formative years of the APC, accused the Tinubu government of abandoning the party’s founding ideals and prioritizing personal and elite interests over national development.
He lamented the rising cost of living, persistent insecurity, and lack of clear policy direction, arguing that these challenges have been worsened by what he described as “poor governance and insensitive leadership.”
“The APC of today is not the party we built. It has lost its soul and its purpose. Those in power are more interested in consolidating their positions than in delivering real change to the people,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, urging citizens not to lose hope in the country’s future but to continue holding leaders accountable through democratic means.
As of the time of filing this report, the Presidency and the national leadership of the APC have not issued an official response to the former vice chairman’s comments.
The statement adds to a growing chorus of criticism facing the Tinubu administration as it grapples with mounting economic and political challenges less than a year into its tenure.
