Kamala Harris Slams Trump for “Unwanted” Iran Conflict

By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has condemned President Donald Trump for dragging the U.S. into an “unwanted and dangerous” conflict with Iran. She argued that recent military strikes lack a clear strategy and were executed without necessary Congressional oversight.

Harris warned that the escalation destabilizes the Middle East and puts American service members at unnecessary risk. She stated that the public did not vote for a new regional war and criticized the “maximum pressure” campaign for having no diplomatic exit.

The former VP accused the President of ignoring seasoned diplomats and acting unilaterally. She expressed concern that bypassing allies and international agreements has left the U.S. isolated and unable to effectively manage the fallout of an all-out war.

In her remarks, Harris called on Congress to immediately use its war powers to restrain the executive branch. she insisted that the President does not have a “blank check” to engage in major hostilities without explicit authorization from the people’s representatives.

“This is a conflict of choice, not necessity,” Harris stated, warning that the administration’s path could become a “generational mistake.” She argued that the current trajectory drains American resources and further alienates the nation from the global community.

Harris concluded by urging a return to de-escalation and multilateral diplomacy. While acknowledging provocations from the Iranian regime, she stressed that the U.S. response must be measured to avoid a catastrophic and endless cycle of violence.
