Ex-NTA Journalist Modele Sarafa-Yusuf Joins 2027 Ogun Guber Race

Veteran broadcaster, Modele Sarafa-Yusuf has officially declared her bid for the 2027 Ogun State governorship.

 

The former Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun announced her candidacy during a strategic meeting with key stakeholders.

 

With over 30 years of experience at NTA and Globacom, Sarafa-Yusuf highlighted her deep knowledge of the state’s political landscape. She aims to provide “fresh perspectives” and more effective governance for the people of Ogun.

 

Her platform prioritizes human capital development, focusing specifically on quality education and accessible healthcare. She pledged to create an environment where businesses thrive while ensuring growth reaches every senatorial district.

 

Advocating for increased female representation in leadership, she urged citizens to break the “glass ceiling” in elective politics.

 

She cited her professional integrity and track record as evidence of her readiness to lead.

 

While acknowledging past progress, she stressed the urgent need to accelerate infrastructure and security improvements. She promised an inclusive administration that champions the welfare of civil servants and the youth.

 

Her entry into the race is expected to create significant competition within the All Progressives Congress (APC). Supporters are already mobilizing, viewing her as a technocratic bridge-builder suited for lmodern governance.
