Bauchi Governor Swears in Education Commissioner, Adviser

Governor Bala Mohammed has sworn in a new Commissioner for Education and five Special Advisers. The Thursday ceremony also included two new members for the Civil Service Commission.
The Governor stated the appointments followed a rigorous assessment of each official’s professional experience. The move aims to strengthen the state’s policy implementation and governance machinery.
Mohammed urged the new officials to maintain high standards of integrity and transparency. He noted their roles are vital to sustaining the state’s ongoing developmental momentum.
New Education Commissioner Abdulkadir Mohammed replaces a suspended predecessor in the role. He pledged to prioritize the advancement of educational standards across Bauchi State.
The Governor warned that all appointees would face constant evaluation to ensure total accountability. He reminded the team that public office is a trust, not for personal gain.
Emphasizing the weight of their duties, Mohammed stated, “The oath of office represents a sacred covenant with God and the people, warning against abuse of office.”
