Adeleke Alleges “Back-Door” Power Plot by Osun APC

Governor Ademola Adeleke has dismissed calls for a state of emergency in Osun, labeling the move a desperate plot by the APC to seize power through the “back door.”Â
He accused former governor Gboyega Oyetola and candidate Bola Oyebamiji of orchestrating “faceless” groups to manufacture a crisis.
The governor alleged that the opposition is the true architect of unrest, claiming they intentionally paralyzed local administrations to provoke conflict.
He argued that these actions were designed to create a false sense of chaos to discredit his current leadership.
Adeleke clarified that any instability stems from APC-backed chairmen illegally occupying local councils despite expired tenures.
He accused the opposition of hijacking funds in violation of regulations, forcing his administration to intervene to ensure workers were paid.
To maintain order, the governor directed the Commissioner of Police to thwart any attempts at inciting violence. He also called on the Inspector-General of Police to monitor the state closely and prevent the opposition from disturbing the peace.
Urging the APC to seek power through the electorate rather than subversion, Adeleke stated, “The APC seized local government funds, mismanaged the same, and forcefully occupied the councils, all in a bid to provoke violence and conflict.
This is a deliberate strategy to create chaos and blame it on the Adeleke-led administration.”
