APC Registers 277, 000 New Members in Kwara

APC Registers 277, 000 New Members in Kwara

The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has registered over 277,000 new members via its electronic registration portal.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq shared this update during a meeting with the party’s National Vice Chairman, Alhaji Muazu Bawa, in Ilorin.

Kwara currently leads the North Central zone in recruitment numbers. The Governor linked this growth to public trust in the government and the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s policies, which have encouraged more citizens to join the ruling party.

The exercise utilizes National Identification Numbers (NIN) to ensure a credible and transparent database. This digital approach is designed to sanitize the party’s membership register and provide a more structured framework for future internal democratic processes.

While the figures are high, many more people are still waiting to join. The Governor noted that despite some technical hurdles, the party remains committed to mobilizing residents and ensuring all interested individuals are successfully captured in the system.

Due to ongoing interest and occasional network issues, AbdulRazaq urged the APC national leadership to extend the registration deadline.

He believes more time is needed to accommodate the large volume of Nigerians still seeking to participate in the exercise.

Affirming the state’s commitment to the drive, the Governor stated: “With over 277,000 people already registered, we are not resting on our oars. There is still room for more, and we will continue to mobilise our people despite some network challenges.”
