The More the Merrier: BAT-IG Celebrates Governor Yusuf’s Defection

PRESS RELEASE

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT-IG) has expressed delight over the defection of the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the development as a major boost to the party’s growing strength and national unity.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, BAT-IG noted that the governor’s decision reflects increasing confidence in the leadership, vision, and progressive ideology of the APC under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Quoting the proverb, “In the multitude of people lies the king’s honour,” the group stated that the expanding membership of the party is a clear indication of public trust and acceptance.

The group further emphasized that the political realignment in Kano State significantly strengthens the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. With the combined electoral strength of both political blocs, the party is now better positioned for greater victories and sustained political stability.

BAT-IG commended the leadership of the APC for fostering inclusiveness, unity, and reconciliation within the party, noting that such efforts will ensure a smoother and more successful journey toward 2027.

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group is a dedicated support and ideological movement built on unwavering belief in the political ideology, vision, values, and strategies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The group is committed to Nigeria image branding, political impartation, conflict resolution, raising policies, economic, and leadership giants. Also, the group is committed to training and building men and women who will become living carriers of the political spirit, ideology, vision, and values of President Tinubu while countering misinformation and shallow criticism that often distort his achievements.
