INEC Takes PVC Collection to Wards Ahead of FCT Area Council Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced a special drive to bring Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection closer to residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the February 21, 2026, Area Council elections.

From 22 to 26 January, residents can collect their PVCs daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their respective Registration Area (Ward) offices. After 26 January, collection will continue at the INEC Area Council offices.

INEC urged voters not to miss this opportunity, stressing that the PVC is not only a card but a key instrument of voice, choice, and power to shape the future.

Residents are encouraged to locate their collection centres through the official INEC portal at cvr.inecnigeria.org/Locator. INEC also provided multiple contact channels, including email (iccc@inec.gov.ng) and phone numbers (09050858629, 09050858675 and 09050858649), to assist voters with inquiries.

The commission reiterated that the PVC collection drive is part of its efforts to ensure maximum participation in the Area Council elections, enabling citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote conveniently.
