4,183 Students to Benefit from Barau Jibrin Foundation Scholarship Programme

The Barau I. Jibrin Foundation has announced that 4,183 students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano, will benefit from its 2026 Annual Scholarship Programme.

The scholarship, targeted at indigenes of Kano North Senatorial District, will provide financial support of ₦50,000 per student for those in Degree programmes and ₦20,000 per student for those in NCE programmes.

Disbursement of the scholarship funds is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the foundation, the initiative is part of its ongoing commitment to supporting education and easing the financial burden on students from the district.

Eligible students are required to present original and photocopies of relevant documents, including student ID cards, evidence of registration, admission letters, indigene letters, and national identity cards.

The disbursement exercise will take place at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano, at 10:00 a.m. Students must be confirmed indigenes of Kano North and must appear on the list submitted to the foundation by the college.

The statement was signed by Dr. Maikudi Lawan, Secretary of the Committee, for the Chief of Staff to the Deputy President of the Senate.
