Sokoto Holds Special Prayer for Peace, Unity

The Sokoto State Government recently organized a special prayer session to seek divine intervention for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and overall development.
The event took place on Friday at the Sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque, immediately following the weekly congregational service.
The session was attended by several high-ranking government officials and prominent religious leaders from across the state.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu was represented at the event, demonstrating the state government’s commitment to spiritual support alongside administrative efforts to tackle national issues.
Led by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Malami Akwara, the congregation offered fervent prayers for the country to overcome its current security and economic challenges.
The religious leaders emphasized the importance of divine guidance in helping leaders make decisions that favor the common man.
In addition to praying for the nation’s leadership, the session focused specifically on the return of stability to regions troubled by insecurity.
The clerics urged citizens to remain steadfast and united, noting that collective prayer is a powerful tool for national healing and progress.
The event concluded with a call for Nigerians to continue supporting the government’s initiatives through peaceful coexistence.
By organizing this session, the Sokoto State Government aimed to reinforce the role of faith and unity in building a more secure and prosperous future for all citizens.
