Tinubu’s Administration Has Improved the Lives of Igbos, Says Arodiogbu
The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South East, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has brought significant improvements to the lives of people in the region, particularly in the areas of commerce, manufacturing and security.
Arodiogbu made the assertion on Monday during an interview on Arise Television, where he spoke on recent political developments in the South East and the performance of the Tinubu-led federal government.
His comments followed a stakeholders’ meeting of the APC held in Enugu State, aimed at mobilising support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the APC chieftain, the South East leadership of the party recently reviewed the welfare and socio-economic conditions of people in the region and concluded that the current administration has made noticeable positive impacts.
“The Igbo people are naturally hardworking, smart and highly entrepreneurial. What they require is an enabling environment that supports commerce, trade and manufacturing, and that is what this administration is gradually providing,” Arodiogbu said.
He noted that policies introduced by the Tinubu government, especially in economic reforms and infrastructure development, are creating better opportunities for business owners and manufacturers in the South East.
He added that improved security has also helped boost commercial activities across major markets and industrial hubs in the region.
Arodiogbu further stated that the APC is intensifying efforts to strengthen its presence in the South East by engaging stakeholders, party members and the wider public, stressing that the party is committed to inclusive governance and national development.
He urged residents of the region to objectively assess the performance of the Tinubu administration and support initiatives aimed at economic growth and stability, insisting that the South East stands to benefit more from deeper political engagement at the centre.
The APC leader maintained that the party’s renewed mobilisation drive in the region is focused on building trust, expanding membership and positioning the South East to take advantage of opportunities under the current administration.
