Kano Hisbah Board Arrests 24-Year-Old Man for Alleged Bestiality with Goat

A 24-year-old man, Shamsu Yakubu, has been arrested by the Kano State Hisbah Board for allegedly engaging in an obscene act with a goat, which was captured in a viral video on TikTok.

The video, which has sparked widespread outrage, shows Yakubu instructing someone to film him as he allegedly licks the genitalia of a goat.

According to reports, Yakubu claimed that he carried out the act to gain online popularity and become famous.

However, during questioning by Hisbah officials, he denied licking the animal, stating that he only put his mouth around the area.

The Deputy Commander-General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminuddeen Abubakar, expressed dismay over the incident, criticizing Yakubu’s apparent ignorance of Islamic teachings and moral values.

Sheikh Aminuddeen stated that the suspect’s actions were driven by a desire for “dirty fame” on social media, and that the Hisbah Board has ordered a psychiatric and drug evaluation to determine Yakubu’s state of mind.

The Hisbah Board has also announced that the goat will be taken for medical examination to test for any diseases it may have contracted from the suspect. Additionally, the suspect will be tested for any diseases before being prosecuted.

Sheikh Aminuddeen warned that anyone caught engaging in similar behavior for online clout will be arrested and severely dealt with.

“Anybody caught bathing in dirt or ash or charcoal under the guise of seeking popularity will be arrested and severely dealt with,” he said.

The incident has sparked outrage among residents, with some threatening to assault Yakubu before a local community leader intervened and reported the matter to the Hisbah Board. The case highlights the growing concern over the spread of obscene and immoral content on social media, and the need for authorities to take action to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
