Abandon High‑Risk Joshua Clash, Moses Itauma Cpunsels Jake Paul

Rising British heavyweight, Moses Itauma has warned Jake Paul to walk away from his December 19 contest against Anthony Joshua, describing the matchup as a dangerous miscalculation.

Itauma, speaking during a live stream that drew around 50,000 viewers, told the American to reconsider the bout, saying, “Jake, please reconsider, this is suicide.”

The 20‑year‑old, who has shared sparring sessions with Joshua, insisted Paul “has no idea what’s coming” and forecast “the scariest knockout you’ve ever seen.”

He noted his own perfect record of 10 knockouts in 10 professional fights and argued that Joshua hits “three times harder than anyone Paul has faced.”

He also offered to spar with Paul “to show him real power.”

Itauma questioned whether the financial reward made sense, suggesting it would be useless “if he could not even remember how to say his own name after the bout.”

Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has also urged organisers to cancel the fight, citing similar concerns about the risk to Paul.

The scheduled eight‑round heavyweight contest, which pairs the two‑time world champion with Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), will be staged at the Kaseya Centre in Miami and broadcast live on Netflix.

Their first face‑off highlighted the physical disparity between them, with the 6‑foot‑6 Joshua towering over the 6‑foot‑1 Paul.

Joshua promised a brutal approach, saying, “If I’m going to be honest, I’m going to break his face, I’m going to break his body up, I’m going to stomp all over him.”

Paul, however, maintained confidence and said he is prepared to push himself to extreme limits.

“I just have to avoid that one shot for eight rounds, and I believe that I can do that,” he said.

He added that he is “ready to die in the ring to win this fight” and hopes to challenge former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury afterwards.
