APC Embraces Digital Transformation for Transparent, Inclusive Membership System — Yilwatda
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced plans to fully embrace digital transformation in order to build a more efficient, transparent, and inclusive membership system that accurately reflects the party’s true strength and nationwide presence.
APC National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, made this known on Thursday in Abuja during the party’s E-Membership Registration Train-the-Trainers Workshop organised for its state chairmen and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The event, held under the theme “Strengthening Party Structures Through Technology,” marks a key step in the party’s broader reform agenda aimed at modernising its internal administration and improving engagement with members at all levels.
Represented by the party’s North-East National Vice Chairman, Ma’azu Bawa, Yilwatda said the initiative underscores the APC’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and innovation in political management.
“This workshop represents a significant milestone in our collective effort to strengthen the internal structures of our great party and reposition the APC as a model of innovation and digital efficiency,” he said.
He noted that the digital registration exercise would ensure that every member of the APC is properly documented in a centralised database, making it easier to plan, mobilise, and communicate with members across the federation.
Yilwatda added that the move aligns with global best practices in party administration, ensuring that the APC remains a forward-looking organisation driven by data and technology.
“By embracing technology, we are not only improving our internal systems but also reinforcing the trust of Nigerians in our capacity to lead with integrity and accountability,” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, the National Organising Secretary of the APC, Sulaiman Argungu, said the digital membership registration was designed to eliminate duplication, enhance security, and provide real-time access to membership data.
He urged participants to take the training seriously and cascade the knowledge to their respective states to ensure uniform implementation nationwide.
The E-Membership Registration Train-the-Trainers Workshop is part of a series of digital reform programmes initiated by the APC National Secretariat to modernise party operations and strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of future elections.
