Governor Oyebanji Goes on Two-Week Annual Leave, Will Attend to Key State Matters
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will begin a two-week annual leave from Sunday, November 9, to November 24, 2025, marking his first official vacation since assuming office on October 16, 2022.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Ado-Ekiti.
He said the leave forms part of the governor’s statutory entitlements.
According to the statement, Oyebanji will resume duties on Monday, November 24, after completing the leave period.
Oyebode, however, explained that despite being on leave, the governor will continue to oversee key state matters to ensure governance remains uninterrupted.
“The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, will commence a two-week annual leave beginning from Sunday, November 9th, 2025,” the statement read. “The two-week leave is part of the Governor’s statutory annual leave. However, the governor will be attending to crucial state matters while on leave.”
Since assuming office, Governor Oyebanji has been actively involved in the state’s development initiatives, with his administration focusing on infrastructure renewal, economic growth, and human capital development.
His upcoming leave, according to government sources, will allow him to take a brief rest while maintaining oversight of critical projects and engagements across the state.
