Nigerian media personality and sports advocate, Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi, has been honoured with the Role Model (People’s Choice) Award at the 2025 International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) IRTS Awards held in Denmark.
The recognition celebrates her exceptional contribution to sports development, gender advocacy, and community empowerment through her work with the FAME Foundation.
The ISCA Awards, known globally for spotlighting individuals and organisations that use sports as a tool for social change, brought together leading figures from across continents.
Atoyebi’s recognition places her among a select group of global changemakers who have leveraged sports to promote inclusion, leadership, and equality.
Reacting to the honour, Atoyebi expressed gratitude to ISCA and the international community for acknowledging her work, dedicating the award to Nigerian women and young people striving to make a difference.
“This award is a reflection of the resilience and commitment of every young Nigerian who believes in the power of sports to transform lives,” she said. “It is also a call to do more — to keep creating platforms where women and girls can thrive.”
The award was announced on ISCA’s official platforms, where the organisation described her as an inspiring figure whose initiatives have fostered opportunities for women and youth in sports and social advocacy.
Atoyebi, a key figure at the FAME Foundation, has been instrumental in driving several community-based programmes that merge sports with education, health, and gender equality. She previously received multiple recognitions in Nigeria, including Media Personality of the Year 2025 by FAME Foundation and an Award of Outstanding Performance from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for her excellence in broadcast and public communication.
Congratulatory messages have since poured in from sports advocates, media professionals, and public figures across Nigeria, hailing the award as a testament to her dedication and impact on the global stage.
Analysts describe Atoyebi’s win as another milestone for Nigeria’s growing influence in international sports and social innovation platforms, underscoring the country’s capacity to produce transformative leaders beyond its borders.
With this recognition, Arabinrin Atoyebi joins a global network of ISCA honourees whose work continues to inspire inclusion, resilience, and community development through sports — further cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s most dynamic voices for empowerment.
