WPRF Abuja 2026 Unveiling Ceremony Set for October 20

The National Planning Committee (NPC) for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026 has announced that the official unveiling ceremony for the highly anticipated global communications event will take place on October 20, 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
According to the organisers, the unveiling will mark the formal commencement of preparations for the international forum, which is scheduled to hold in November 2026.
The WPRF, a flagship event of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, will bring together communication professionals, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders from around the world to discuss emerging trends and challenges in public relations and strategic communication.
The Abuja 2026 edition will be the first time the forum is hosted in West Africa, underscoring Nigeria’s growing influence in global communication and media practice.
The unveiling ceremony is expected to attract top government officials, including the Ministers of Information, Aviation, Arts and Culture, Interior, and Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of professional bodies, corporate executives, and members of the diplomatic community.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the NPC noted that the event will not only introduce the forum’s theme and brand identity but also unveil the calendar of pre-forum activities, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities designed to ensure a successful hosting in 2026.
The committee described the unveiling as a symbolic milestone that will “position Nigeria at the heart of global dialogue on the role of communication in fostering peace, development, and international cooperation.”
The World Public Relations Forum, first held in Rome in 2001, has been hosted in several major cities including London, Dubai, Toronto, and Buenos Aires.
Its 2026 edition in Abuja is expected to draw thousands of participants from across the world, offering a unique platform to showcase Africa’s communication industry and Nigeria’s hospitality.
