DJ Cuppy: I’d Still Choose to Be Nigerian in My Next Life

Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has joined millions of citizens in celebrating the nation’s 65th Independence anniversary with a message of pride and patriotism.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, the billionaire daughter declared that if given another chance at life, she would still choose to be Nigerian.

“Happy 65th Independence Day, Nigeria. No matter where I go, no matter what I achieve, this is my birthplace, my home, my country. In my next life, I would still choose to be Nigerian,” she wrote.

Cuppy praised the resilience and enduring spirit of Nigerians, noting their remarkable ability to persevere through challenges while maintaining joy and optimism.

Her message echoes her Independence Day reflections from last year, when she described Nigeria as her “superpower” and a “piece of hope,” highlighting her consistent show of love and pride for the country despite its struggles.

The 31-year-old entertainer, who has built an international brand while promoting Nigerian culture and talent, said she remains proud to fly the green-and-white flag wherever she goes.

Cuppy’s patriotic post has since drawn admiration from fans and fellow celebrities who commended her unwavering love for Nigeria.
