Rex Insurance MD Nwachukwu Named Among Top 25 Corporate Leaders

The Managing Director of Rex Insurance, Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, has been named one of the top 25 corporate leaders of the year at the 2025 BusinessDay Top 25 CEOs Awards.

The award ceremony, held on Thursday, brought together leading executives and industry experts to celebrate corporate leaders who demonstrated exceptional innovation, impact, and leadership across sectors.

Nwachukwu was recognised for steering Rex Insurance through a period of transformation and growth.

Since assuming office in January 2023, she has led a rebranding that repositioned the company as a digital-first, customer-focused insurer.

“This recognition is a true reflection of the dedication and hard work of the entire Rex Insurance team,” Nwachukwu said after receiving the award.

“Together, we have built a solid foundation for continued innovation and success, and I am immensely proud of all that we have accomplished.”

Under her leadership, Rex Insurance has commissioned a new head office in Victoria Island, Lagos, developed climate-based agricultural insurance products, expanded inclusive retail offerings, and strengthened customer service with faster claims settlement.

The company said Nwachukwu also introduced the 2025 operational theme, “Building Synergy and Growth,” to align stakeholders toward sustainable financial performance and long-term profitability.
